Is it just me but she has contaminated the field cos all the equipment she was touching was not sterile ( outerlayer) and then she touched inside and putting everything on the ‘sterile’ field? She should have prepared the field as she started cleaned the surfaces open the packaging without touching the inside on the surface, then wash the hands again, open the pack to cover the field, open the rest of the necessary tools without touching the inside sterile material, then wash her hands again, place sterile gloves then arrange her tray. This way she keeps area actually sterile

You really need to be more specific on a few things. For example- What is the optimal distance from the top of a standard 6’0 6’8” to the center of each of the 3 hinges? When you say “Make sure the hinges are facing in the right direction…”, show us what the “right direction” is. In the video, you say to screw the hinges to the door 1st, then to screw them to the jamb, however the gentleman in the video is clearly doing the opposite of what you say (maybe that’s an intentional ‘real life’ thing 😂)…but which is correct? How do you install an automatic door closer?

Problematic. Too many items in the peel pack. Opened instruments toward herself at first. Hair is loose which may/may not be a big deal. Recapped needle. No mask. Grabbed inside of drape instead of underside although she was in the border. Never draw up meds in your hand. Always puncture a vial downward and not in the hand. You could poke yourself. Didn't wait the dry time for the disinfectant. Hand washing demo was not 15 seconds min.

And he will be doing my surgery on January 7th. He is Dr. Miguel Ramirez in Peoria Illinois. I have a question I would like to ask you since you were his teacher. Have you put many of these and people that rely on their arms for transfers? Like wheelchair bound people. I'm just curious how long I should expect this replacement to last. All the using my arms for my legs and arms for 46 years has finally caught up to me. No more Judo for me LOL. I'm a nursing student & I've noticed that her hand washing technique is wrong too. As others have mentioned, the paper towels on the table - that is a no-no. Also now with COVID-19, health care professionals need to be even more diligent in hand washing & use the proper technique.
